(MPS), also known as New Scotland Yard, has a worldwide reputation for excellence and figures prominently in Naomi’s novels. Met police characters in The Witness include Detective Chief Inspector Colin Sinclair, officers with special training in interviewing sexual assault victims, officers responsible for providing protection for critical witnesses, and specialist firearms officers.
